Slade has been of great assistance to me as I prepare for my journey to Spain. A phenomenal teacher who goes the extra mile to make his lessons super entertaining! I would recommend this class to anyone who is keen to learn Spanish.

Slade's unique approach to teaching Spanish gets you speaking Spanish really fast, the classes are fun, the take home manual is excellent and there is regular engagement involving sharing of tips and material to practice. I had tried language apps before and whilst useful they are no substitute for personal teacher led lessons. I recommend The Spanish Academy to all my friends.

I have had the privilege of being instructed by Slade. The rate at which I learnt surprised me. His methods make it easy to grasp the language and I have managed to retain what I learnt through Slade even though I am not among Spanish speaking people daily to practice. My daughter convinced me I could learn Spanish in just 12 weekly 3 hour lessons. I was skeptical, until I met Slade, the proprietor of the Spanish Academy. Eccentric, flamboyant and mysteriously delightful is how I would describe him; but I daresay, I still am not doing justice to his brilliance... Before we left the first lesson we could understand whole passages he read to us in Spanish; it was freaky. Well needless to say, the rest of the course lived up to its promise and after 12 weeks, if not completely conversant, we could fully understand virtually anything he wanted to discuss in Spanish.

Slade’s building block methodology makes Spanish easy to grasp conceptually. He makes the learning and understanding Spanish fun, entertaining and exciting. His ability to project himself into my future needs and create relevant conversations and examples in each lesson was remarkable. I thoroughly enjoyed our lessons and his encouragement, guidance and support. I highly recommend taking his classes.

I started learning Spanish with Slade in 2018. Since then I have been able to understand my Spanish friends' whatsapp group messages and have some conversations with Spanish friends in Spanish... I enjoy the classes with Slade and hope to travel and speak Spanish in a foreign country soon!
